He considers it a "pleasure to burn",and feels he's doing the his duty by helping to get rid of them.

2)  In the opening scene books are compared to birds because Bradbury uses the birds as a symbol for what books can do for our minds.  Books help our thoughts take flight, and help us be able to think independently and not just in other people's viewpoints. So it's a symbol of how books are freedom.

3)  The difference between Montag and Clarisses lives is that Clarisses house is full of light and affection, where as Montag, his house is complete darkness, where no sound from the great city could penetrate .

4)  The technology within the novel compares to our current technology he described almost exactly what we have nowadays but in his imagination. Technology did not improve the quality of life for Montag and his wife Mildred because technology may have made life convenient, but it had also robbed it if meaning . The scene in the bedroom shows us that Montage quality of life has been harmed by the technology.
