1) The truth that Gatsby tells Nick in this chapter is a wide and varied history of himself, about how he had wealthy Midwestern parents from SF , was educated at Oxford, collected jewels in Europe, hunted big game , and was awarded medals in WW1 .
2) The truth that Jordan tells Nick is that Gatsby is in love with Daisy Buchanan and that Gatsby bought his mansion in West Egg Solely to be near Daisy.
I don't believe Gatsby because as he unfolds his story he gives the first strong indication that he isn't quite what he presents himself to be and he's not a good liar.

Music as Literature
Music can be considered literature because just like literature, music tells stories, teaches you lessons , and is a way of the artist expressing themselves just like poets do in literature. The difference between a novel, a poem, a rap, a song, an opera and a Symphony is the way in which the person is expressing themselves, they may do it differently but they all have a message or purpose .

Some more thought on Immigrants on our own land
I gave it a little more thought and reread the poem and I think what makes his story special and different is Bacas honesty, as well as his original imagery and the passion of his writing . He doesn't need to really imagine, he writes about what he feels and his past experiences.

Immigrants in our own land analysis
Theme- The main theme is expectations vs reality . The immigrants or prisoners come each with their heart hoping they'll get a chance to change their lives , the reality is that hardly anybody will achieve their goals.
Tone - The poem begins with a hopeful tone, by the end, it is more serious and almost a depressing tone .
Mood- The mood is sad because we can feel the way prisoners suffer .
Devices - Imagery , Diction, metaphor
