The author uses diction, syntax, tone, and rhetorical strategies to develop his main argument. The author used diction well especially at the beginning because he made sure us readers could easily understand what he's talking about and relate to what he's doing, since we've all at some point taken pictures of our breakfast. His choice of words made it easy for us to understand what he's talking about, and his use of syntax expresses his attitude toward what he did. His use of tonew shows us how he feels about technology, and he shows us that he understands why we communicate online. The author also uses rhetorical strategies in his writing. For example, at the beginning he uses metaphors when he says "I'm a wannabe Millenial" and then he uses a simile when he says "If that sounds like a mouthful". He uses uses hyperbole when he says "we snap 100 shots at a time". The authors main argument and the message he's trieng to tell us is that we no longer tell the stories of our pictures, but our pictures tell the stories of us. Meaning we're too busy trieng to show other people how we live our lives, that we don't even live and enjoy our lives like we should. For example, when we go camping or go somewhere with our family, we're too busy trieng to take good pictures to post on snapchat or Instagram, and we forget the main reason why were there which is too spend some time with our family and just have fun. Another point that helps out the authors argument is when he says " online and electronic tools can help us amplify and accelerate our thinking, but you can't 3D print a hug". I totally agree with that statement because it's not the same to interact with someone through your phone than it is in person.

The Digital Divide
The use of technology isn't really helping me get ahead and achieve my goals, I feel like it's holding me back. I feel like technology can be something we can really take advantage of and use for our own good in many ways, but we all use it to waste time and not focus on what's important and achieving our goals.

Ignite Talk
My Masterpiece topic is about time. Who invented time? And how did people back then manage their day without having clocks and watches.
One thing I did over the break to explore my question topic was research some information about how it was invented and by who.
One thing I learned from exploring over the break was that the Egyptians and Babylonians were the first people to use time.
One connection I see between this course and my question is that nowadays we don't know how to manage our time wisely, we waste all our day on meaningless things, just like the society in Fahrenheit 451 who were easily controlled and wasted thier time on technology.
What I'm doing next is try to learn more about this topic by watching videos or reading a book about time.

F 451 Essay
The difference in Ray Bradburys tone with regard to Clarisse and Beatty is that he describes them totally different from one another and we can picture and imagine them how they are just by reading the story. Bradbury describes Clarisse as a delightful human bieng thats aware of her surroundings and thinks on her own unlike the rest of the society. She is considered dangerous by Beatty who is the villain of the story and nothing positive is said about him in the story.

F 451 Wrap Up
1) The men laughed because that phrase had been over used over time.
2) Montag still cared about Mildred because he loved her even though she couldn't care less about him and she was the only family he had near him.
3) The hands of Grangers grandfather and Mildred symbolize how hard the people worked or what good actions a person makes.
4) Just like Faber told Montg, it's not really the books that we need and are important, but what's in the books, the messages, lessons and meanings. Grangers remembrance of his grandfather is the same because he misses everything his grandfather did for him and all his kind actions, will keep living even though he's dead.
5) 3 seconds is "all the time in history" because 3 seconds can go by really fast or really slow .
6) The significance of the Phoenix is that it symbolizes how life can be renewed .
7) Montag was a completely different man in the end of the story than when he was a firefighter who followed society and didn't think. By the end he know understood and thought on his own and the men realize they have encountered a new man.

A Step Ahead of the Hound
1) At the Blacks house Montag secretly planted books in the garden.
2)
3) Fabers TV is almost the size of a postal card.
4) The show on the TV while Montag was on the run was that a new mechanical hound is looking for Montag.
5) When everyone looked out of thier Houses Montag was running from the new mechanical hound.
